Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-09-14 · applies to the Android app "Fall Asleep Fan" (com.mrapps.fall_asleep_fan)
The short version
Fall Asleep Fan has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own. Your sound mix, volumes, and timer preferences are stored only on your device. The app works fully offline. The two third-party services it uses are Google AdMob (to show one banner ad) and Google Play Billing (to process the optional Remove Ads purchase).
Data the app stores on your device
- Your last sound mix and per-sound volumes
- Master volume and sleep-timer preferences
- Whether the Remove Ads purchase is owned
This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Unless you have purchased Remove Ads, the app shows a single banner ad served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device information such as the advertising ID, IP address, and coarse ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. This collection is governed by Google's privacy policy and described at How Google uses data from AdMob. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Purchasing Remove Ads removes the ad and, with it, this data collection.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
The optional one-time Remove Ads purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details; the app only learns whether the purchase is owned so it can hide the ad.
Permissions
- Notifications: shows the playback controls on your lock screen while sound is playing.
- Foreground service / wake lock: keeps audio running while the screen is off.
- Internet: used only to load the banner ad.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information itself. Ad serving follows Google Play's family policies.
